Troops America

Fourth of July History: United States of America and the dream
With the Fourth of July on its way, Americans start storing their reserves hot dogs, hamburgers, coleslaw, soft drinks and other snacks for the heart. It was then when the whole family – including parents often so strange did not even know I had – around the barbecue or a picnic bench or a tree your cat has remained stuck in when the neighbor has led to a bottle rocket. It time to see her little sister pageant to the center, or PALS go play baseball with you, or to hang a U.S. flag on the side of his house. More than anything else, is when Americans come together to put on a screen in vibrant national explosives – as the founding fathers.
With all the festivities Fourth of July, it can be easy to forget the story behind the most popular festival in America. Did you know, for example, that John Adams said July 2 will be held as usual American Independence Day? After all, was the day the Continental Congress declared independence from Britain in 1776. While the Declaration Independence was formally approved by the Continental Congress on July 4 was a change in the gross coverage Marks and signed by a handful of members, delegates waited a month remaining for greater clarity, more durable copy to do before they end up signing the document. Even some Parts of the highest and most inspiring of the Declaration of Independence, which are generally attributed to Thomas Jefferson is crazy rhetorical skills have been paraphrased the Bill of Rights George Mason wrote the Virginia General Assembly, a few months earlier.
Yes, the Fourth of July is the perfect time to refresh the title = "History United States"> United States history. Well, maybe not himself room, but what happens in the next day or two when you wake up eat your food and sunburn is great. You can read about how the American flag painted "Washington Crossing the Delaware did not even exist until a year and a half after the trip, or how the call Slaughter of Boston has five Bostonians who have been slaughtered for mounting snowball against British troops, or as Paul Revere never shouted "The British are coming!" but much less catchy, "The regulars come out!" These are some moments in the formation of the American Revolution that helped make the United States, the collective dream of a people, a reality.
On Similarly, the Fourth of July is also an opportune time to reflect on the continuing struggle that is our history. The American dream has come a long way since the creation of the United States, whose definition is at risk less than a century after its creation by the title = "Civil War" war civil>. Or for the time of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby, where easy money and the abuse has led to the not-so-great Great Depression. And remember that the American Dream remains a dream "deferred" to minority segments of the population. So while we have the right to celebrate our success in this great day, we must also take a moment to recognize the distance to go.
