Why is a police uniform commonly associated with sexuality?

I’m doing a report on the many sides of sexuality, and I have a section that includes this topic. I was just curious to know your opinion on why a police uniform is very often associated with sex. I’ve seen statistics show that a police uniform is the number one disguise used in role playing among partners. What do you feel is the psychological reason for this and what ideas does the uniform hold in ones mind?

I imagine it is because the police uniform is a symbol of authority. Domination is a very common sexual fantasy. The most recognised example of this is the extreme domination of bondage.
Where bondage offer a physical form of domination, dressing up as a figure of authority offers a psychological form of domination and will often take on common authority figure such as Police officers, Teachers and Bosses.
